Random 10 - 90s mainstream

I realize in looking at the other Random 10 lists that Corey at American Idle has posted that my taste in music is pathetically mainstream. Here's my list, set primarily in the 90s:

1. Same in the End - Sublime
2. Fumbling Towards Ecstasy - Sarah McLachlan
3. So What'cha Want - Beastie Boys
4. Three Marlenas - Wallflowers from Peak Tracks Live
5. Start Again - Death Cab for Cutie
6. Come to My Window - Melissa Etheridge
7. Kinda I Want To - Nine Inch Nails
8. Any Way You Want It - Journey
9. I Belong to You - Lenny Kravitz
10.Jeremy - Pearl Jam

Oooh... Jeremy's definitely my fav! I've heard that Death Cab For Cutie is the new big thing in Indie Rock.

Going from NIN to Journey would be kinda weird.

Nice variety though, and what better way to learn some new stuff than preview a few songs from each list.

Prophet - I love just about anything from Ten. By far Pearl Jam's best. Funnily enough, Death Cab has been around for years but I'm just now getting into them. They remind me of a less synthesized New Order.

Alonzo - LOL, yeah, it was a little odd. I have such variety on the iPod that it happens fairly often to me.

Cat - thanks. Knowing who I like on your list this week (Raconteurs, Gorillaz, Wilco) I'll have to give your picks a listen.

Re: your profile. The ending of the Dark Tower series was jaw droppingly bad, I couldn't believe I had invested in seven (?) books. It's like if Harry Potter ended with Harry killed in a crosswalk by a speeding bus.

JJ - tell me about it! Great Harry Potter analogy. I wasn't crazy about the way King wrote himself and his accident into the story either. You have plenty of money to work that out with a top-notch psychiatrist, Mr. King. Don't pollute my entertainment with it.

I'll be checking out some of the books on your list. :)

Re: Dark Tower

Makes me happy I stopped at book five. It was already getting a bit "Twin Peaks" for me.

Yeah, Ten & Some from Vitalogy. Your list isn't lame btw...
