Consistency, please?

Is that too much to ask?

Freakin' garbage collectors.

One week they come at 7:15 AM, the next they come at 11 AM.

Oh, and if you try to run after them to get them to come back? You KNOW they see you. But they always keep going.

Jerks.

I guess if I had to do that for a living I'd be a dickhead too.

If you hadn't written that last line it would have been my comment. I'd be really nasty for sure if I had that job.

I'd be super friendly, but then I'd have a blog called "Angry Garbage Man Hates You".

Chelene - these guys have it easier than many. They have a robot arm on the truck to dump our bins. All they seem to do is drive.

Cat - if I ever have to change my blog title, that will be it!

I used to do that for a living. Blame the people who schedule the runs, rather than the drivers.

And have your bin on the kerb for 7:00 :-)

I will never forget, in particular, the woman who never rinsed her cat food tins, and just dumped them into the recycling bin. Then she complained bitterly when I thrice refused to collect her box of stinking rotted meat by-products.

What I'm trying to say is: the guys on the truck don't make the rules.

The robot arm, by the way, is the single greatest garbage invention ever. It's almost eliminated the plague of back injuries garbage collectors suffer.

Metro - good point. I used to be a waitress and most of the time it was the cooks' fault when food came out late. Didn't stop my customers from being irked at me though. ;)

Yeesh, I can't imagine having to pick up heavy loads of foul-smelling who-knows-what-it-is for a living. More power to you!
